Milan Fashion Week is known for outfits with striking and bold colors combined with a chic sex appeal. Some of the world's biggest brands followed this trend as they showcased their Fall/Winter 2015 ready-to-wear collections. Our favorite looks were the complete opposite of this. This fashion week roundup includes brands that incorporated a completely different and unique theme. We award them the title of "Top Ready-To-Wear Looks."
Dolce & Gabbana
A tribute to "Mamma" with rose patterned dresses and handwritten prints from Dolce & Gabbana employees. Gabbana had the 'cuteness' factor on their side with the addition of matching outfits for babies and young children. These items are perfect for those fashion-forward mothers looking to pass it on to their kids. Our boutique is the only one is Las Vegas! You can bet on finding these looks as they are released in the upcoming months.
Being a 'geek' has officially made it's way into one of the biggest brands in the world. We've seen these 'hipster' looks become increasingly popular with everyday brands, but Gucci brought it to the runway as a way to send their own message: "Brain over brawn." These looks paired long skirts and dresses with glasses and flats. Look out for these "librarian chic" looks at our boutique.
"It's so fluffy!" We loved the coats and outerwear from this collection. Fendi was able to use a luxurious material, like fur, to create a look that wasn't too flashy. We normally see fur on outfits that are too sophisticated to wear in public. They also made sure that these warm and cozy outfits looked chic instead of an at-home snuggie attire. Our boutique will 'fur sure' have these coats.
Donnatella lives for modern glamour looks. She put a twist on it by putting focus on the logo. She had fun with the collection by making them social media worthy. It catered to a younger audience by incorpating "@" and "#" symbols. She explained it as the 'emoji of the future.' Her dresses are catering to a new generation and make a perfect gift for a young fashionista who loves taking selfies.
Awards season is finally coming to an end. We've seen some amazing red carpet looks thus far, but you know what they say: Save the best for last. The Oscars 2015 | Academy Awards went out with a bang and showed us our favorite outfits from the entire season!
Besides the ongoing trends of glimmery white and silver gowns, nude blush tones, dark lips, sleek buns and high slit dresses, there were three celebrities that we fell in love with. These stars showed us true fashion and style through accessories.
Margot Robbie - Robbie donned a plunging SAINT LAURENT dress and shoes that resembled an 80's style. She strayed away from the typical Oscar type of gown for this reveiling, yet elegant look. This look would not be complete without the VAN CLEEF & ARPELS jewelry. Her "Zip Necklace" is literally a work of art. The piece took 800 hours to painstakingly craft. It's priced at $1.5 million. She accompanied it with matching yellow gold rings. All of her jewelry can be found at our Van Cleef & Arpels boutique inside of The Shops at Crystals.
Nicole Kidman - Nicole looks like a million bucks. Seriously, she's literally worth $7 million in HARRY WINSTON diamonds. Her custom LOUIS VUITTON dress and Petite-Malle clutch already had our curiosity, but the 111.11 carats now has our attention. The Caftan Diamond Bracelet was specifically made for her. You won't be able to find this at our Harry Winston location, but can find a similar one that is equally as stunning.
Reese Witherspoon - We've realized that anything in TOM FORD looks great. This white & black strapless dress was simple and chic. It's beautiful by itself, but amazing when accompanied with the right shoes and jewels. Witherspoon chose a classic black JIMMY CHOO pump and one-of-a-kind TIFFANY & CO. jewels from the 2015 Tiffany Blue Book collection. Her ring features a 3.03 carat blue diamond... A.K.A one of the rarest type of colored diamonds in the world. Look out for this new collection at the The Shops at Crystals when in launches in April!
The Porsche Design TwinBag is one of the most exclusive bags around this season. Premium quality was a key focus in the selection of materials.
The TwinBag is distinguished by its unique design and exclusive leather materials, expertly crafted by workers in Florence. The main highlight is the bag’s clever carrying concept: its adjustable handles allow the TwinBag to be worn as either a handbag or a shoulder bag. The German luxury brand’s first handbag rounds off its fashion and lifestyle range for women.
As the seasons start to change, it's important to accessorize yourself with the newest trends! These pieces by Van Cleef & Arpels are a perfect example of the excellence they strive for. Plus, these are perfect for spicing up any outfit.
Every woman knows that a new season means new handbags. These handbags from Dior are great for any name dropper. The Lady Dior handbag features embroidered satin, while the Diorama handbags use tufted cannage calfskin or lambskin.
