What's Hot / Women's

The first time we watched the Valentino Haute Couture SS16 show we were speechless. Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli sent out a collection that was equal parts bohemian goddess (hopefully, they sell those headpieces asap) and far-east princess. But then we watched it again (as you can at, and we had far too many thoughts.

Here are 10 things we thought while watching the show.

"Is there a botanical garden/butterfly sanctuary in Las Vegas I can wear this to?"

"Do you think this is too much for Coachella?"

"Wait, how many more years until the Year of the Dragon again?"

"Seriously, where was this vest while I was at Sundance?"

"I need a date for Valentine's Day."

"Hopefully, this guy has a yacht in the Mediterranean, so this gown doesn't go to waste."

"I really hope Alicia Vikander wears this to the Oscars, accessories and all."

"This is sunshine and happiness in gown form."

"I want to get married in this."

"No actually I want to get married in THIS."

Couture week is in full swing in Paris with Atelier Versace kicking off the painstakingly crafted shows. While couture is famous for its gowns, at Versace there were overwhelming references to the athleisure trend albiet sewn by hand. Pantsuits mixed with cut-out mini dresses, and gowns with high slits all in a striking primary color pallete. Couture is known as adverturous as these clothes aren't for mass consumption, but Donatella Versace gave us a peek of a different side of the prestigious craft.

What is also striking about the Versace show is the sheer supermodel power that walks in it. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Irina Shayk, Joan Smalls and Behati Prinsloo all strutted the runway, but the coveted closing position went to fashion's biggest it girl Gigi Hadid.

Celebrities / What's Hot / Women's

In the habit of showing their prefall and cruise collections outside of the normal fashion week staples, designers are constantly popping up in unexpected places. For her fall 2016 show, Stella McCartney landed in Los Angeles, and produced a presentation full of celebrities and, what else, music. The show took over Amoeba Records on Sunset Boulevard, and was filled with models parusing the record bins, celebrities decked out in McCartney's whimsical aesthetic and a surprise performance from Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys. What else would you expect from rock royalty?
