Instagram was everywhere during the 2015 Resort collection presentations and a great way to get an insider’s view at all the behind-the-scenes fun. Here’s a look at how three designers and their celebrity style packs trended “off-season” using the popular social media tool.

Stella McCartney

With about 775,000 followers designer @StellaMcCartney touted her guests (it-girls such as Liv Tyler, Amber Heard, Cara DeLevingne and Maggie Gyllenhaal) just as much as the clothes.  Inside the Elizabeth Street Garden party hashtags such as #stellasuperheroes, #stellasworld #stellagirls were flying to show off patchworks of print and stripes, side cutouts and sunray pleated dresses. The mood was light with party favors such as the always-enchanting “mustache on a stick,” blue lollipops and the ensuing blue tongue and bubble guns. The overall tone matched the “superhero” motif found on key pieces within the collection, including a suite of handbags that looked like masks.

Christian Dior 

Guests such as Rihanna, Marion Cotillard, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Leelee Sobieski, Allison Williams and Margot Robbie arrived by signature Dior water taxis to the Brooklyn Navy Yard's Duggal Greenhouse for Dior’s Cruise show in early May. Through hashtags such as #DiorCruise2015 #diorbts, the official Dior Instagram account @Dior showed off the stunning “mirror effect” runway, backstage makeup applications (#peterphilips) and a number of the top looks of the season from creative director Raf Simons. For this presentation, he favored the A-line silhouette with scarf prints and textures both archival and new. All in all there were 66 looks to celebrate Dior USA’s 66th year.

Hermés 

And while their “All About Women” client event was not a Resort presentation, Hermés’ off-season party was one for the record books. Inside Wall Street’s JP Morgan headquarters there were numerous environments to enjoy. Scene 1 was a rerun of their Autumn/Winter collection, and Scene 2 was a full-on carnival with a retro swim tableau, pinball and roll-a-ball horse racing and a fashion fortune-teller. @Hermes and #HermesAllAboutWomen gave a fantastic look into the almost unbelievable spare-no-expense affair. A video clip favored by guests was “Dancing Bags,” and a photo booth elicited the hashtag #toomuchfun.

Paris Fashion Week ended with a bang March 5, thanks to presentations by Louis Vuitton, Hermès and Miu Miu.

This was a defining moment for new LV designer Nicolas Ghesquière, formerly of Balenciaga, who took the reigns after a 14-year run by Marc Jacobs. Ghesquière’s first collection will be remembered for its distinct A-line shapes, which cued a 1960s vibe. His materials, however, were thoroughly 21st century: patchwork leathers, crocodile, industrial zippers, molded bodices and hand-sculpted feathers. My favorite looks were any of the dresses or skirts fashioned with front zippers and belts—which was just about everything. Thanks to its history, Louis Vuitton is indeed one of the “untouchable” houses, but Ghesquière hit a home run on his first effort, modernizing the portfolio and giving us all high hopes for what lies ahead.

Over at Miu Miu the runway focused on quilted nylon. It appeared as jackets, skirts and dresses, along with bold, snappy wool coats, both long and short. The key for designer Miuccia Prada was that nothing turns out too puffy. And she succeeded—except when it came to my favorite piece in the collection, a lapelled overcoat, which resembles a parti-colored standard poodle. As the clothing progressed in the show, Prada introduced every texture imaginable, including silk, brocade, knit and plastic. Fashion’s revolutionary spirit remains just that. In the audience, Rihanna was seen with Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o.

At Hermès, Christophe Lemaire presented a subdued silhouette—long to mid-length—in highly texturized and luxurious fabrics. The palette was charcoal, camel, black and cream. Oversized suits and coats gave the runway looks a masculine feel. My favorite nuance of this collection was the varying styles of collars shown. We never knew what we were going to get next—a surprise around every turn.

Today in Las Vegas the temperature finally dropped from 80 degrees to the ever-so-chilly 60 degrees.  We started thinking that pretty soon it will be coat weather, but for now we wouldn't mind throwing a beautiful scarf around our neck to stay warm. These luxury scarves will help you stay warm in the chilly months.

We really went all out for Fashion’s Night Out. Instead of just asking people to come out and shop, we asked Las Vegas to come out and shop for a cause. Multiple stores at Crystals partnered with a local charity and donated a portion of their proceeds to their charity partner during the event. While shopping for a cause, guests of Fashion’s Night Out enjoyed different events from store to store, delectable food provided by Crystals and ARIA Resort & Casino restaurants and a high energy performance by indie sensation Fitz and the Tantrums.
