The Resort (or Cruise) collection is the most important one to fashion brands as it's on the sales floor the longest and is often most wearable. It’s also a fresh flow of new looks and just in time when you’re over heavy fall coats and are dreaming about your upcoming holiday apparel.
Nicholas Ghesquière presented his debut Louis Vuitton Cruise Collection for 2015 on May 17, in Monaco - the first time the house has presented such a collection in a show format.
The Cruise collection was significantly more embellished and playful than what Ghesquière did for Fall. He appeared to be having fun when designing this collection: collaging mismatched prints, embroidering lace with tiny seed beads, and accessorizing with spiky silver belts and gladiator sandal-boots that inched up toward the knees. Deep pink was paired with baby pink, and caution orange with yellow and sea blue—"a game of colors," he called it.
Keep an eye out for the energetic Louis Vuitton Cruise Collection at The Shops at Crystals later this Summer.

When it comes to red-carpet glamour, few events compete with the Cannes Film Festival for sheer sartorial spectacle and star power.
First up to face the press in 2014 was Blake Lively. Wearing a glamorous deep burgundy Gucci Première gown with a thigh-high split is just reason number 1,734 for why we want to be the fabulous starlet. From the sophisticated and sexy Mrs. Reynolds to the sheer Valentino tri-color full lace gown worn by model Karlie Kloss and the youthful dazzling edge brought to the red carpet by Adele Exarchopoulos in a Louis Vuitton black and white custom gown – the Cannes fashion has just begun!
Following last year's journey into the world of punk, this year's Met Ball saw its star guests return to the red carpet for a more glamorous ‘Hollywood’ attire.
With the Metropolitan Museum of Art celebrating the opening of its exhibition dedicated to Charles James, many embraced old school elegance in the most romantic of dresses. The result was a sea of ball gowns sweeping down the red carpet on the likes of Kate Mara, Rita Ora and Charlize Theron.
For those looking for something a little edgier, a number of trends emerged. Cropped tops, offering a hint of midriff, teamed with a long skirt worn by none other than Rihanna. While Blake Lively, Marion Cotillard, Gisele and Leighton Meester chose a more seductive look with plunging necklines edging towards the navel.
Meanwhile a number of designers stood out as the night's absolute favorites: Stella McCartney arrived with an all-star group, all dressed in customized versions of her designs - Reese Witherspoon, Cara Delevingne, Rihanna and Kate Bosworth. Valentino’s feminine prints and embroidered lace were in abundance seen on Florence Welch, Haley Bennett, Kate Mara and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Miuccia Prada worked her magic for Lupita Nyong'o, Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Olsen and Dianna Agron - all of whom arrived dressed in bespoke Prada or Miu Miu creations.
